The first 29 years of Hayley’s career were spent behind the chair. Formerly a respected colourist and part of the Toni & Guy Educational team, Hayley thrived on being fully utilised in the salon. Throughout this time, her own interest in psychotherapy developed through personal experience with therapy and lead to the study of a diploma in Transactional Analysis Therapy while continuing to work on the salon floor.
In 2019, Hayley stepped down from being a hairdresser and committed her time to support the mental health of her peers. Following on from her time as a psychotherapist, Hayley launched her coaching business, The Resilient Hairdresser, which has helped thousands of salon owners and employed and freelance stylists navigate the face-paced, ever-changing, working environment. As the modern ideology of work shifts, it brings new challenges. Aware of the increased and unrealistic demands placed on stylists today, Hayley’s position as a coach is to use her skills in educating others to achieve a more balanced lifestyle. Her experience, knowledge and ability to make positive changes in the lives of others are rippling out across the industry on a global scale.
