magi:gloss get the look: Burnt Sienna

Autumn is officially on the horizon (although you could argue it’s been here since early July) and that means it’s the time of year when clients start to crave a richer, darker look.

Some clients might want to start experimenting with a completely new colour or require a maintenance regime in between their colour services.

magi:gloss from Quif allows you to create a gorgeous array of colours from deep violet red shades to rich coppers with huge gloss and shine. As magi:gloss is a demi-permanent colour, it’s a great non-damaging way for your clients to experiment with being a redhead this autumn.

On the other hand, magi:gloss also allows you to offer a new service to clients who might have never coloured their hair before but want to enhance their natural tone on a non-committal basis.

Let’s take a closer look at the beautiful ‘Burnt Sienna’ look as part of the magi:gloss launch collection.

As Josie had never coloured her hair before, magi:gloss was the ideal product to enhance her natural copper tone while improving the condition of her hair.

Sarah Dickenson from the Quif Art Team says “I really love the way this formula has enhanced Josie’s already beautiful natural copper hues.”

For this look, the Quif Art Team combined Medium Natural Copper Blonde (7NC/7:04) with 50% Boost Copper Gold (BCG/0:43) mixed with 1:1.5 parts of Gloss Activator to overall enhance the natural tone of the hair.

“As this was an overall colour, using the applicator bottle to apply the colour from root to tip using the applicator bottle meant the service was quick and simple without compromising on results,” says Sarah.

The team then processed the gloss for 20 minutes before rinsing at the backwash. This was then followed by a shampoo, a quick towel dry and a conditioner.

“We always recommend using a colour-safe shampoo & conditioner such as vivid bloom from Shed to maximise colour vibrancy,” Sarah adds.

Artist top tip: to enhance your client’s natural look, choose a tone that suits their eye & skin colour and matches their natural hair depth.
