The Spring Nail Trends of 2026: What Your Clients Will Be Asking For

Published date 04 March 2026

Back to article listing
It’s finally time to pack away the moody burgundies and deep winter greens, as spring is slowly but shortly entering the chat. Of course, for spring, this season is all about fresh colours and playful patterns that will add the most whimsical vibe to your clients' manis. Including a whole plethora of pastels, with some touches of chrome, here’s everything you need to know when it comes to building the ultimate spring nail moodboard.

Pastel French Tips

The pastel French tip is the ultimate way to subtly bring colour into your client's manicure without committing to a full block shade. We’re mainly obsessed with the buttery yellow tips that we’ve been gradually seeing on our social feeds, as well as baby blues and lilacs to replace the classic white tip. It’s super simple and wearable, which gives a seasonal refresh that your clients will be craving.

Black & White Polka Dots

Polka Dots definitely had their moment in 2025, and they’re not going anywhere in 2026. The classic black and white pairing is especially making its way into our spring nail moodboard, adding a timeless and super chic vibe. It’s girly, effortless, but completely versatile, making it the perfect option for clients who want to add a pattern while still keeping things minimal.

Yellow & Blue Combo

If there’s one colour combo to watch this spring, it’s yellow and blue. Pastel, buttery yellow already makes the perfect base, but pairing with anything from baby blue to a deeper blueberry shade gives the most fun and fresh manicure. Incorporate this colour combo through French tips, abstract swirls or stripes, as well as florals.

Pink Chrome

Chrome is a staple no matter the time of year, but for spring, it’s getting softer. The pink chrome taps into the Y2K vibe while still feeling super elevated and modern. It gives clients something more exciting than just a plain pink colour, while not being too overpowering.  It’s sweet, super shimmery, and ultra-girly, being the easiest way to elevate a simple manicure.

Florals (Duh!)

It would almost be illegal not to mention florals in spring. They’re a spring classic for a reason, but it’s about how creative you make it. We’re seeing a lot of the delicate hand-painted flowers that give that pressed flower effect, which creates a dainty, whimsical design. Your clients will be frolicking through the countryside in no time!

Gingham & Daisies

It’s a spring picnic, but on your client's nails. Being one of the top prints for spring, gingham is having a huge moment in the nail space. Blue, red, or pink gingham patterns instantly give that soft, whimsical countryside vibe, which is the ultimate epitome of spring. Add a few daisies or fruit accents, and you’ve got the ultimate spring set.

Make It Pink!

If your clients are unsure of what shade to go for, make it pink! This season, we’re seeing multiple pink tones in one manicure, such as soft blush, bubblegum, dusty rose, or brighter pops of pink blended into one set! We love the playful vibe this gives a manicure, being undeniably spring. We think pink is officially claiming its territory as the colour of the season.

Maximalist Is Back

For your maximalist clients, this is where it gets fun. Patterns paired with 3D floral art create the most enchanting and whimsical finish that stands out from the crowd. Keep it pastel and dreamy or go bright and bold, depending on the client’s personality. This is a super fun way to add texture, detail and dimension that gives the most playful vibe.

Bright Red

Who said red was just for winter? You might be surprised that spring 2026 is seeing a shift towards warmer, brighter reds, which are less cool-toned and more vibrant and juicy. It’s chic, expensive-looking yet daring, and we think it’s the perfect nail shade for the new season. Let’s be honest, red never really fails, but this brighter version feels fresh and confident.

To recap, moody tones are out, and soft, creamy shades are in. Whilst spring is of course bringing us all of our favourite pastel shades and floral designs, let’s not forget about the clients who want to embrace their maximalist energy by adding some daring, bold colour to their mani. For nail techs, this is the season to have fun. Play with colour combos, use a mix of patterns, and don’t be afraid to lean into texture! Your clients will be ready for fresh, playful sets that feel like spring.
