On her recent shoot with Alfa Italia, award-winning stylist and salon owner Melissa Timperley set out to create two contrasting styles, from sleek and understated to bounce and glamour, perfect for the party season to come. Both looks were brought to life using the Alfa Italia’s Lustro Styler and Tropea Multi-Curl Kit, proving just how versatile these professional tools can be.

Melissa tells us, “For this campaign, I wanted to showcase three versatile finishes that each tell their own story - but all feel wearable, modern, and effortlessly styled. The tools made it easy to create beautiful texture and shape, but it was important to me that each look felt authentic and had its own personality.”

 

Using the Lustro Moisture Lock Pro Styler, Melissa created a glossy, straight finish that feels polished but not overdone. The results show the smooth, silky hair that reflects the light beautifully while giving the model that sophisticated look.

As straight hair can seem too simple, it’s important to show how chic and elegant it can be when it’s done well, and Melissa did exactly that. The titanium plates of the Lustro glide seamlessly through the hair, with the help of a smoothing cream to help tame flyaways, leaving a refined finish for that fresh out of the salon look. For look 2, Melissa reached for the Tropea Multi-Curl Styler to create a style that’s the complete opposite. This time, Melissa envisioned big, bouncy curls that feel glamorous but still playful. Melissa tells us, “La Dolce Bounce is all about big, playful volume. It has that soft, fluffy texture that feels fun and feminine.
