How to use the level finder
To take an accurate reading of the hairs level/depth, take a 1cm section of the hair and bend it towards the root so that light can pass through it. Now, fan a swatch and push it through the section to compare. If the hair is between two levels, use the darker of the two to make your developer choice. We recommend taking readings from all 4 quadrants of the head.
Depth = strength of developer
How to use the white finder
To take an accurate reading of the percentage of white hair present, take a 1cm section of hair and bend it towards the root so that the light can pass through it. Now, fan the closets-looking swatch and push it through the section to compare. Please make sure you identify the depth of the natural hair and the % of white hair present to ensure your coverage strategy is perfect nd your choice of developer is correct.
% white = Coverage Colour
How to use the warmth finder
To take an accurate reading of the amount of warmth remains in the hair after lifting, make sure the hair is thoroughly dried, take a section of the hair length and integrate the warmth swatches to it. The amount of warmth you identify tells you what level the hair colour is currently at I.e. orange/yellow warmth means level 8, and you should choose a level 8 colour mixed with a low-strength developer to recolour.
Warmth = Depth
