A Deep Dive into Quif Trend:01 – Pixie Blush

There’s not many hair styles out there as daring and expressive as a short, textured pixie cut… until you make it pink!

‘Pixie Blush’, featured as part of the Quif Trend:01 collection from The Quif Art Team, celebrates the beautiful, on-trend pixie cut: a timeless, short style with cropped sides and back paired with a longer section on top.

“I think a pixie cut is the perfect frame for any small, beautiful face, ” Claire Severn from The Quif Art Team says. “It suits any age of client and looks bang on-trend for everyone.”

The team used a short fragmented layering technique for the perfect, heavily textured pixie cut. They then paired the look with a subtle pink tone to really give it that pop! 

The way to achieve this pretty pink colour is with the perfect and precise combination of Quif Blast White Lightening and Tickled Pink. 

“This look illustrates the way you can use the Quif Blast semi-permanent collection of bright colours to create a wide range of subtle tones on pre-lightened hair,” Claire suggests. 

But who is the ideal client for this look?

 Pixie cuts can be flattering to anyone but particularly those with a heart shaped, square or oval face shape. Claire recommends that “any client would look good with this look as it’s such an easy style to care for, maintain and style yet can look different every day just by adding different styling products!”

Artist top tip: We used Alfa Italia Soft Cut scissors for this look as the blades create the texture and shape of the cut really easily and make this short haircut a pleasure to do.
